In March #Studio explores unprecedented contaminations between cinema and visual arts through a selection of videos by Diego Marcon, an artist working on the boundary between cinema and the visual arts whose research is based on the relationship between reality and representation.
Diego Marcon (1985) is an Italian artist who works with film, video, sculpture, and installation. His films were screened at many festivals including Cannes Film Festival (Cannes), Viennale (Vienna), Festival du nouveau cinéma (Montreal) and FID (Marseille) in 2021, Festival Rotterdam (Rotterdam), Cinéma du Réel (Paris) and BFI (London) in 2018.
From genre films to traditional animation and entertainment cinema, Marcon presented his filmography in a talk at the Cinema of Fondazione Prada together with curator Paolo Moretti.
