Fondazione Prada’s Restaurant Torre hosts an evening of mixology discovery on Thursday, October 27 2022, thanks to a collaboration between the bar at Restaurant Torre in Milan and Reka:Bar in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
“Torre x Reka:Bar – Signature Cocktail Night” is the first event dedicated to the new signatures of quality mixology. The goal is to make people discover the complex process that leads to the creation of a cocktail. Distillates of excellent quality and raw materials chosen with extreme care are the main components characterizing this research, leading to new interpretations and reinterpretations of the classics. A dialogue between the best mixology recipes, reinterpreted in a modern key, is proposed for the occasion. From one side Giovanni Magliaro and Joel Poon, bar manager and head bartender of Reka:Bar, respectively, bring in Milan their idea of cocktails based on the use of revisited everyday ingredients; from the other side Pietro De Feudis, bar manager of Torre restaurant, aims at the exaltation of taste with the new cocktails.
Four cocktails included in the Torre Restaurant Bar’s drink list are matched with four other cocktails conceived by Reka:Bar’s bartenders, progressing from spicy to fruitier notes. The Spice ‘n’ Nice, for example, mixes the lingering notes of Mezcal with a chilli padi distillate, while the (C)loud & Clear plays on the toasty notes of Whiskey with salted caramel and tea. There will be no shortage of one of Torre’s signature revisited drinks, such as the Signature Mezcal Martini, offered alongside the new fall season cocktails.
