The event “Diagrammi per Io. Un frammento riemerso” will take place at Fondazione Prada’s Venice venue on Thursday, 30 October, at 6:30 pm, as part of the eighth edition of the Luigi Nono Festival entitled “Frammenti”.
It features a dialogue between conductor Marco Angius and curator Barbara Casavecchia, offering a guide to listening to Io, frammento da Prometeo, a work from 1981 and the Festival’s opening concert, which will take place on 8 November at Chiesa di San Lorenzo.
This dialogue will connect Nono’s work with ‘Diagrams’the exhibition designed by the AMO/OMA studio, led by Rem Koolhaas, on display at the Venice venue until November 24, 2025.
The discussion will explore the significance of Luigi Nono’s preparatory diagrams in his compositional process, particularly highlighting Io, frammento da Prometeo as a conceptual laboratory or a precursor to the experience of listening.
