During this workshop, Accademia dei bambini is transformed into a sculptor’s studio.
Participants are guided to discover marble shards, steel sheets, wood fragments, plaster, hammers, gouges, and chisels, uncovering the secrets of some of the tools and materials needed for his work. Children get to work shaping a material as thin as a leaf and as shiny as metal, capturing the form of the things around us and creating a collective artwork.

Filippo Salerni is a sculptor trained in sculpture at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera and the Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara. After creating set designs and artistic installations for the fashion world in Milan and Paris, he worked with a vintage car restoration workshop, where he gained a thorough knowledge of sheet metal working techniques and the craft of metalworking.
He currently works in his studio located in the heart of the Navigli district in Milan and in a workspace in Rome, producing sculptures that combine traditional techniques with a constant drive toward formal and material innovation.
