Cinema Godard’s #Anteprima section reveals unreleased films before their release in Italian cinemas. In October it explores the latest work of Victor Kossakovsky.

Saturday 26 October sees the presentation of Architecton (2024) by Kossakovsky, which explores the relationship between architecture and civilisation, in competition at the last Berlin Film Festival. The screening is followed by a meeting with the director.

Four years after Gunda and six years after Aquarela, Kossakovsky returns behind the camera to continue exploring the relationship between man and nature, creating a monumental epic on the meaning of architecture today. Accompanying him in this apocalyptic reflection is Italian architect Michele De Lucchi, with whom he engages in an illuminating dialogue about the meaning of beauty and the need to redefine the tools and materials with which to design the future.
