Twelve-year-old Joy arrives with her mother at a New Age retreat at the foot of Sleeping Woman Mountain. While her mother Gloria takes refuge in therapeutic practices, Joy explores the woods and trails, drawn to the disappearance of a girl and visions that seem to emerge from the landscape. A night on the mountain marks a transition in which body, fear, and growth become irreversibly intertwined.
