The Souvenir: Part II is the second chapter of Joanna Hogg’s largely autobiographical narrative that began with The Souvenir, and it once again explores Julie’s emotional world, painting the luminous portrait of a young filmmaker entering adulthood. Premiered in the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs section at the Cannes Film Festival in 2021, the film is graced by the same exceptional cast as the first chapter, with both Tilda Swinton and Honor Swinton Byrne offering extraordinary performances.
